With our expanded invoicing options, line items can be pulled in from new areas of the platform that include Time Clock, Bills, QuickBooks Costs and Xero Costs. This is particularly beneficial for cost plus builders who bill directly for project costs, eliminating hours of work and enabling builders to generate invoices with just a few clicks.

We’ve made several updates across the Estimate, Invoice and Budget workflows that benefit cost plus builders to support the transparency and collaboration needed for open book projects.



Better markup and margin control empowers you to set detailed pricing standards. New ways to build owner invoices ensure you are collecting for all direct costs, including Time Clock labor and Bills. You can also use Bill attachments when the transparency is needed. Expanded budget visibility gives you the financial intelligence you need about your job – and lets you decide what to share with your homeowners.

We recently rolled out the option to offer your homeowners financing as part of our continued expansion of our Financial Management offerings.

In this initial Draw Request phase, builders who have been approved to offer Home Improvement Financing products from our partners will have the ability to submit a draw request directly from within the platform. With a simple click, you can request preapproved funds to be sent directly from our banking partner to you.

Buildertrend Chat makes it easier than ever to ensure collaboration between your teammates, active subcontractors and homeowners. Communication between key stakeholders can happen seamlessly – without you as the middleman.

A new Recommended Templates tab in the Template menu provides a library of Buildertrend templates for best-in-class project processes and outlines. Use these to adjust your current processes or to help ease into a new project.

For added transparency, you can now customize the column layout to show more or less pricing information to your clients. You can also save the layout by fixed price or cost plus contract type for easier creation of future invoices.
