Buildertrend NEXT event recap: 3 key takeaways and the unveiling of our takeoff software

Graphic of the Buildertrend NEXT event recap 2022

On Aug. 31, we held our Buildertrend NEXT virtual event where our leaders shared the inside scoop on exciting feature updates and plans for the future of construction tech.

Customers joined live from around the world to learn about our new takeoff software, updates to the estimating tool and how we’re improving their project pre-planning processes. So much information was packed into those twenty minutes.

These are the top three takeaways from our online event:

1. Buildertrend is improving – and we’re not stopping any time soon

Our biggest and most exciting company update occurred last year when we acquired CoConstruct, arguably our biggest competitor at the time. Our teams have been combining forces and working tirelessly ever since to bring you the best of both systems. We seamlessly merged the strengths of both platforms into one ground-breaking software that will take your business to the next level.

We also enhanced our estimating software, so you can confidently manage your budget and job costs without worry. We know the estimating process is one of the most important parts of managing a project, so we listened to your concerns – and we delivered a whole new experience. Look forward to a more organized, simplified and prioritized workflow.

Next, we talked about the improvements made to Buildertrend focusing on usability, workflows and additional capabilities. Thanks to the feedback received from our users over the past year, we were able to improve the areas you struggled with most. Offline capabilities, a new invoicing process and our global search tool are just a few of the exciting product updates available now.

2. The launch of our new takeoff software

Another game-changing acquisition happened last year – Square Takeoff.

For years, our customers have been requesting a takeoff software solution. We’re excited to announce that it’s finally available. Buildertrend leadership spoke more in-depth about the experience our users can expect with this new addition to the platform..

The Square Takeoff team joined in the discussion to share their thoughts on the acquisition and their role in creating Buildertrend Takeoff. They’ve been working hard alongside our team to bring you the best solution in the industry.

Not only did we talk about this new addition to our construction management software, but we also gave our virtual attendees a live demo. Norman Joseph, founder of Square Takeoff, provided an inside look and walked through the new takeoff experience and process.

3. There’s more to come

We can’t wait to bring you more innovative tools to help your business succeed. Improved estimating software, new ways to pay your subs and the long-awaited takeoff software are just the tip of the iceberg for what we have planned.

We’re always pushing to make your processes easier and bring more tools to your fingertips. You can keep up with new feature releases on The Buildertrend Blog or our podcast, “The Building Code,” so you never miss an update.
