Buildertrend employees rally together to support families in need for annual holiday giving tradition

Employees exceeded their goal raising $4,694 to benefit Omaha and Charlottesville families

OMAHA, Neb. (Dec. 23, 2021) – Buildertrend, a construction project management software known for its charitable giving and workplace volunteerism, continued its annual holiday tradition of supporting families through the Salvation Army’s Adopt-A-Family and Angel Tree programs.

The Adopt-A-Family and Angel Tree programs pair eligible individuals with sponsors who fulfill a holiday gift wish list. Employee contributions supported Omaha families through Adopt-A-Family and Charlottesville individuals through the Angel Tree program.

In just two weeks, employees from Buildertrend and its subsidiary, CoConstruct, raised a total of $4,694, ultimately benefitting 45 individuals in the Omaha and Charlottesville areas. Employees also used the company’s volunteer time off program and stepped away from work to purchase, wrap and deliver gifts to the selected families.

Starr Frampton, a product documentation specialist at Buildertrend, started the company tradition in 2017 as a grassroots employee-funded effort. Today, she continues to lead the initiative, which has grown in popularity among Buildertrend’s workforce. Collections have steadily increased year over year and are supported with a company match donation each year.

“When I look around Buildertrend, I see a group of people who love to help others,” Frampton said. “I could have never imagined that a friendly competition that started in 2017 would raise almost $14,000 within the last five years. Getting to see the impact we make firsthand reminds me of how important it is to give to others this season.”

This marks just one of the many ways Buildertrend continues to support the community. This year, the Omaha tech company earned recognition from the United Way of the Midlands as the Volunteer Organization of the Year for its continued efforts to serving the community. In conjunction with its corporate giving program, Buildertrend Cares, the organization reported its highest charitable giving yet by donating more than $91,000 back to the community in 2021.
