Buildertrend partners with NAHB as exclusive sponsor of National Home Remodeling Month

The construction industry's remodeling surge meets its most powerful platform

Buildertrend Sponsors NAHB National Home Remodeling Month

OMAHA, Neb., May 1, 2026 – Buildertrend, a leading construction management platform, today announced its partnership with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) as the exclusive sponsor of National Home Remodeling Month, celebrated each May.

Each May, the campaign shines a spotlight on the professionals who help homeowners reimagine, refresh and reinvest in the places they live – and the businesses built to deliver on that promise.

For Buildertrend, the partnership is a natural fit – and a long time coming. When the housing market collapsed in 2008, many home builders pulled back. Remodelers didn’t. They adapted, took on more work and kept the industry moving. Buildertrend doubled down alongside them, deepening its platform capabilities to meet the unique demands of renovation and remodeling businesses. Today, remodelers represent one of the company’s most important and fastest-growing customer segments.

That staying power reflects a broader industry trend. According to NAHB research, the number of remodeling companies has nearly doubled over the past 25 years – from fewer than 69,000 in 2000 to more than 128,000 in 2025. Remodelers now represent over half of all residential building construction companies in the country, a structural shift driven by an aging housing stock and the growing appeal of renovation over new construction.

“Remodelers have always been the backbone of this industry, adapting, problem-solving and delivering for homeowners no matter what the market is doing,” said Rieza Lytvynchuk, group product manager at Buildertrend. “As their share of residential construction continues to grow, the complexity of running these businesses grows with it. We built our platform for exactly that. Buildertrend gives remodelers the tools to scale without losing control of their margins or their client experience. This partnership is a reflection of how seriously we take that commitment.”

The sentiment is echoed by the builders Buildertrend serves every day. Brad Robinson, founder of Bradford Custom Homes & Remodeling, credits the platform with fundamentally changing how he runs his business.

“Prior to Buildertrend, I don’t think that I would have the freedom that I have now,” Robinson said. “I’m able to, at any place on this planet, look across my organization and determine what the next best action should be just to run my business on the day to day. We’re able to digest their vision and help assemble the right team … and keep that client’s vision, their budget and timeline intact.”

As part of the sponsorship, Buildertrend will serve as the exclusive sponsor of two featured Shop Talk live discussions hosted by NAHB’s Remodelers Council. These one-hour virtual conversations are open to members and industry professionals and will be held from 2–3 p.m. ET:

  • May 4How to Bulletproof Your Remodeling Business
  • May 18Q&A with Robert Wood – NAHB Remodeler of the Year, owner of Mountainwood Homes in Portland, Ore. and a Buildertrend customer since 2014
