We Heart Buildertrend: How we’re showing love for our team and community

We heart BT

We’re not shy about showing appreciation for our employees at Buildertrend and love celebrating the hard work they devote to customers day in, day out.

Normally, those celebrations take the form of sharing a beer (or two!) around the office bar, companywide events or friendly fist bumps between team members. This year is anything but normal. It’s also anything but business as usual.

Even as we work from home amid the COVID-19 pandemic, every employee’s efforts continue to embody our mission: To change the way the world builds. Our construction software has never been more critical as the industry navigates the new normal. Our purpose for a better way never more relevant. Our support never more necessary.

So, it’s time we show appreciation for all the ways our team has risen to 2020’s many challenges. But that’s not all! We also want to celebrate the work everyone contributed to help Buildertrend score these recent honors:

Truly, we’ve all never worked harder. It’s time to recognize that in a big, bold way like Buildertrend has never done before.

Introducing We ? Buildertrend, an entire season of events that focus on employee engagement, Volunteer Time Off opportunities and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives. Because we want to do more than feel good. We want to do good, too. That’s why this celebration shows love to our employees as well as the community in which we thrive.

Due to the pandemic, recognition now takes on a new form. Our team had to get creative. With a little brainstorming and a lot of ingenuity, our event lineup took shape to meet employees wherever they’re at during this unprecedented moment. Want to stay home and keep things virtual? Can do. Craving to see people in a safe, socially distant way? We got you there, too!

There are almost 20 events in total, spanning more than six weeks. To add some order to all this excitement, we’ve organized everything into three main event types: celeBraTe, heartBeaT and collaBoraTe. See what we did there? Buildertrend, or BT, is at the center of all of them!

celeBraTe

First and foremost, we want to celebrate all 500+ members of the Buildertrend family. That’s what employee appreciation is all about, right? Working together. Succeeding together. Celebrating together.

Here are some of the events we have in store for celeBraTe:

  • Virtual Yoga – Because, honestly, who couldn’t use a little more peace of mind, body and soul right about now?
  • An outdoor movie at Falconwood Park: Big wins call for a night under the big screen.
  • Virtual cooking classes: Our team has nailed the recipe for success. Now let’s see if they can handle an actual recipe.
  • Union Omaha Soccer Games: The return of live sports and free tickets to watch Omaha’s first professional soccer team? Goooaaalll!

heartBeaT

We ? Buildertrend goes beyond fun and games. It’s about showing appreciation for the Omaha community through donation of time, talent and treasure. Each employee is given Volunteer Time Off to make an impact and embrace their inner philanthropic self.

Now is the time to put some of that VTO to use with events like:

  • A companywide blood drive with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank
  • Weekly service hours at the Heart Ministry Center, a nonprofit that provides meals, healthcare and a way forward for those affected by poverty
  • Drive-thru lunch … but the catch is employees have to donate canned food to get food

collaBoraTe

This category strives to further strengthen our company culture through diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. These are all about learning from one another, building each other up and finding ways to empower everyone to be their most successful selves. We know that can’t happen in a silo. That’s why we’re collaborating with members of our community to build a better tomorrow.

A highlight of this will be a hearing from speaker Josh Dotzler of Abide, a nonprofit whose mission it is to revitalize the inner city of Omaha. Josh is the CEO of Abide, and he uses his voice on a national and local level to ignite change and inspire individuals.

We are also excited to welcome Mary Clare Sweet, owner and founder of Lotus House of Yoga. She is a local author, speaker, health coach and entrepreneur. During a virtual session, she’ll speak to staff about all things intuition, courage, mental health and mindfulness.

Together apart

It’s simple. We ❤️ Buildertrend is all about showing appreciation for our team – the heart of our company and the reason our culture is such a winning one.

It’s for those in Sales and Customer Success continually killing it on calls. The developers who make our powerful platform all the more powerful. Everyone in Marketing, Human Resources and Corporate Development who keep the company going and growing. Each role, every department that plays a part in making Buildertrend better.

Even though dining room tables have now become desks, the Buildertrend family works as one. It’s time to celebrate as one now, too. ❤️
