New year, new Buildertrend: How we’re becoming more than construction software

New year new Buildertrend

Recent events and trends have dramatically changed the construction industry. As many home builders and remodelers tackle inflation, labor shortages and supply chain disruptions, they face a new set of challenges. This includes the need for greater cost management, project visibility and team adaptability.

From Buildertrend’s launch in 2006 to now, our team has continuously drove innovation in these areas – Jan. 10th, 2023 will be another great milestone on this journey as we announce Buildertrend Evolved.

Becoming more than construction tech:

We’re heading into the future of construction management – and we’re taking our builders forward with us. Starting on Jan. 10, you’ll notice updates on our website as we roll out a new look and refreshed brand.

Evolving beyond a project management platform, Buildertrend aims to be a complete solution for residential contractors looking to run a strong business. Our new tagline, “Work Simpler,” captures the brand’s new traits: direct, approachable and expert – empowering builders like you to work smarter, not harder.

While this is a step in a new direction, it’s not a deviation from our path. Buildertrend has been an innovator in the construction management space for 17 years with a consistent track record of industry-first tools and services.

So, it’s time to renew our commitment to continue transforming residential building with innovative products that enable businesses to accelerate growth and stay competitive in a fast-changing market.

What does a new Buildertrend mean for builders like you?

The most successful builders are committed to pivoting and investing in their business. Always striving to get better. At Buildertrend, that’s what we are doing, too. In 2023, our main goal is to get serious about investing in our platform and services to make them even better at solving for the hurdles builders will face in the future.

Buildertrend Evolved is about more than a new logo and brand identity. It’s about doubling down on our vision to change the way the world builds. You, the customer, are at the center of it all.

Here are just a few of the ways we’re committed to helping solve the industry’s greatest challenges:

1. Sub delays

The labor shortage due to the construction boom has empowered subcontractors to be pickier with the jobs they bid on and which general contractors they choose to work with. To attract the best trades, builders need to strengthen their relationships with subs – and Buildertrend is the key.

With our platform on their side, contractors can strengthen communication, send clean bid invitations and rely on stable cash flow through quick and simple electronic payments.

2. Cost overruns

It’s more important than ever for builders to have a full understanding of their business’ financial health. Those that succeed through uncertain times know their numbers inside and out. Without visibility into costs and financial management, budgets go over, profits are lost and businesses suffer.

Financial tools such as Estimates and Buildertrend Takeoff ensure numbers are accurate and help builders avoid unwanted surprises. Our financial services, including insurance and financing, further help builders protect and grow their bottom lines.

3. Material delays

Supply chain constraints have derailed construction timelines for far too long. It’s up to builders to start planning ahead and increasing productivity throughout other stages of the project to stay on schedule.

Buildertrend allows for better project planning. This empowers builders to forecast what’s to come and prepare for potential delays. You don’t solely work on your current projects – you can plan ahead for the next jobs in your pipeline.

What’s next:

It’s our promise to you to continue our journey of innovation and leadership in residential construction. Buildertrend Evolved represents that promise. Our new look is a symbol of what’s next: greater digital tools and full-business services to help your team forge forward more confidently and successfully.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for this refreshed Buildertrend next week – and head back to the blog, too. On Jan. 10, we’ll post an exciting introduction video and further explain what’s new and its impact on you.
