“The Building Code” podcast hits 250 episodes
Omaha, Neb. (January 7, 2025) – Builders know the challenges of staying ahead in the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of residential construction. That’s why “The Building Code”, Buildertrend’s flagship podcast, has become a critical resource for construction professionals. Now celebrating its 250th episode, the podcast continues to empower contractors with real-world solutions, expert advice and actionable strategies to build better businesses.
Since its launch, “The Building Code” has addressed the topics that matter most to builders: improving project efficiency, managing client expectations, leveraging technology and navigating industry trends. By sharing candid conversations with builders and industry leaders, the podcast has helped thousands of construction professionals tackle challenges and seize opportunities in their businesses.
“Every episode is designed with one goal in mind: helping builders succeed,” said Courtney Mattern, Senior Director of Content and Brand at Buildertrend and podcast co-host. “Our mission is to deliver practical, actionable advice that helps builders overcome hurdles and grow. Reaching 250 episodes is a milestone, but it’s the stories from builders that inspire us.”
Over the years, “The Building Code” has sparked important conversations, from adapting to labor shortages to making data-driven decisions, and provided listeners with a platform to learn from peers. Episodes featuring the National Association of Home Builders, Association of Professional Builders, Breakthrough Academy and top contractors like Tyler Farrell or Brad Leavitt have resonated, delivering insights that listeners have directly applied to drive results.
“For me, the best part of hosting this podcast is the chance to hear real stories from builders and industry pros,” said co-host Charley Burtwistle, Senior Director of Core Subscription at Buildertrend. “These conversations inspire us and, more importantly, give our audience the tools and strategies to succeed in an industry that’s both challenging and rewarding.”
Since its launch in 2019, “The Building Code” has seen significant growth, attracting up to 10,000 listeners per month. It’s also garnered national and local recognition, including awards from PR Daily, the Content Marketing Institute, PRSA Paper Anvil Awards and the American Marketing Association’s Pinnacle Awards.
“‘The Building Code’ has become more than just a podcast; it’s a builder’s trusted guide, with thousands of listeners tuning in every month to gain an edge in their businesses,” Mattern said.
