Popular event returns after pandemic hiatus and exceeds fundraising goals in support of affordable housing in the Omaha community

OMAHA, Neb. (Sept. 20, 2021) – Buildertrend, a leading construction project management software company and award-winning workplace, was the main corporate sponsor of Habitat for Humanity of Omaha’s annual Brew Haha fundraiser, which returned to its original format for the 15th annual event.

Organizers revived the in-person food and beer festival at a new location, on the lawn at Sterling Ridge Retail. The 2020 event, for which Buildertrend also served as the title sponsor, was conducted as a week long virtual event due to the global pandemic.

More than 1,600 attendees enjoyed live music, beer and beverage tastings and food samples from local restaurants and caterers. The event combined with Habitat Omaha’s annual Women’s Power Luncheon raised a record sum of nearly $450,000. All funds raised will increase access to affordable housing within the Omaha community.

Since 1984, Habitat Omaha has helped more than 2,149 Omaha families and individuals gain access to affordable homeownership and home improvement opportunities.

“It’s partners like Buildertrend that make events like Brew Haha such a huge success,” said TJ Isaacs, chief development officer for Habitat for Humanity of Omaha. “The continuous support we receive from Buildertrend’s volunteers and financial contributions have made this event a great success. This year, the event raised enough money to build two and a half Habitat homes.”

This is the second year Buildertrend was the title sponsor of Brew Haha. The tech company also supports Habitat Omaha’s operations with a discounted software subscription and organizes employee groups to volunteer at Habitat job sites.

Buildertrend was named Habitat Omaha’s corporate sponsor of the year in 2018.

“Supporting our community runs deep within our cultural values. The housing impact that Habitat for Humanity of Omaha makes is beyond measure, and we are proud to be a supporting partner,” said Dan Houghton, CEO and co-founder of Buildertrend.

Houghton serves on the board of directors for Habitat Omaha and served as an honorary chair for this year’s Brew Haha fundraiser. Additional 2021 honorary chair members included: Kelly Houghton; Emily and Steve Dugger; Megan and David Hawk; and Regan and Gary Muhs.

Megan Longo and Emilie Wells were the 2021 event co-chairs.
