Buildertrend demonstrates consistent workplace excellence with third consecutive #1 ranking on Best Places to Work Omaha list
OMAHA, Neb. (March 14, 2021) โ Buildertrend achieved top workplace honors, ranking #1 on the Best Places to Work Omaha list by Baird Holm LLP and program sponsor the Greater Omaha Chamber.
This is the third consecutive year the tech company has been awarded the top honor among Omaha Metro area businesses with more than 200 employees.
Founded in 2003 by Baird Holm LLP, the Best Places to Work Omaha initiative works as a way to publicly acknowledge and promote employers for cultivating an exceptionally unique workplace. The online survey is administered by Quantum Workplace and is distributed to all employees within the organization.
Feedback from the survey is collected and provided to the employer as an analysis on the companyโs overall employee satisfaction and engagement.
โThe survey provides detailed information employers need to produce teams that are engaged and productive in their work. Buildertrend earning this recognition for a third consecutive year should be a great source of pride for their team,โ said Kelli P. Lieurance, partner at Baird Holm.
In March 2020, the company enacted a mandatory work from home status in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings from a May 2020 report showed that 88% of Buildertrend employees favored working remote and 98% of employees said management effectively communicated with them throughout the transition.
Building on its motto of โa better wayโ, Buildertrend found new ways to improve its award-winning culture and support employees. In the last year, the Omaha tech company implemented new initiatives and programs such as lowering its health insurance premium; offering more paid paternity leave and volunteer time off; establishing a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion council; and launching a new wellness program.
Despite an abrupt hit to the construction industry due to COVID-19, Buildertrend prioritized its employees over the bottom line. As a result, no employee was laid off as an effect of the global pandemic.
โBuildertrend has always put a focus on prioritizing the well-being of its employees,โ said Brandy Menaugh, vice president of people at Buildertrend. โThis year posed a challenge to everyone as we adapted to a remote work environment, but our team was able to successfully adjust to a new reality. In return, we wanted to find ways to continue to honor and assist our team for their dedication and commitment to Buildertrend.โ
Buildertrend plays an even more active role in the community. The company increased employeesโ paid volunteer time off from eight to 16 hours in 2021, with hopes of creating a greater impact in the community.
โOur people are everything. They are at the heart of what we do,โ said Dan Houghton, CEO of Buildertrend. โThatโs why itโs important, now more than ever, to make sure our employees and the community are taken care of.โ
Claiming its third consecutive win, Buildertrend continues to demonstrate that improving employee benefits and focusing on community impact is the perfect recipe for successfully forming the foundation of a culture that is collaborative, mission-driven, and ultimately, creating a perfect work-life balance.
