To-Do’s on Mobile
In the coming weeks, Tasks will replace To-Do's in Buildertrend. All existing To-Dos – including templated To-Dos – will be automatically migrated to Tasks.

The To-Do feature on the Buildertrend mobile app makes it easy to manage tasks directly from the field. Whether it's daily tasks or long-term responsibilities, you and your team can update and track progress in real time.
This keeps everyone aligned, helps meet deadlines, and ensures accountability by clearly assigning ownership of each task.

Navigating to To-Do's
Start by choosing a job for your Jobs List.
Next, tap More, then choose To-Do’s from the Project Management features list.

✏️ Note: If you do not select a specific job from the Jobs List before navigating to To-Do's, you’ll see the To-Do's from all your active jobs.

View, Add, and Edit To-Do's
Adding a new To-Do
To add a new To-Do, tap the + icon, enter the necessary details, and tap Save when you're finished.
To-Do fields

Title – Give the To-Do a clear name for quick identification.

Assigned To – Choose Internal Users, Subs/Vendors, and/or Clients responsible for completing the task.

Notes – Add important task details, requirements, or instructions.

Link To – Toggle on to link the To-Do to a schedule item for dynamic scheduling.

Deadline & Time – Set a specific date and time in which the To-Do must be completed.

Reminder – Schedule notifications to keep assignees on track.

Attachments – Take photos or upload relevant files.

Priority – Assign a priority level to help manage workload.

Tags – Use keywords to organize and filter your To-Do items easily.

Checklist – Break your To-Do into smaller, actionable items. Tap on an individual checklist item to assign it to a specific user.

💡Pro Tip
- You can add a To-Do from the Quick Add menu for an expedited experience.

When adding attachments to a To-Do, use your phone’s camera to capture photos on the spot, making it easy to document and identify the work that needs to be done.
View/Edit existing To-Do's
To view and modify an existing To-Do, tap on the To-Do, then select Edit to make your changes.


Additional Functionality
Assigned User(s) Contact Information
Tap on any user assigned to the To-Do to view their contact details, making it easy to call, text, or email them directly from the task.

Related Items
Beyond adding and editing To-Do's, you can also create Related Items (RFIs and Daily Logs) directly from the To-Do, mark the task as complete, as well as leave comments to keep your team informed.

Checklists
If you created checklist items on your To-Do, you can reorder the checklist items from the Reorder View. Completed checklist items will automatically hidden but can be viewed by tapping Show completed.
