You now have the ability to send quotes to your suppliers and distributors directly from Buildertrend Takeoff using Takeoff to Quote. This feature allows you to use the exact numbers generated from your takeoff in an easy-to-use, templated quote from within Buildertrend Takeoff.

Once your estimating within Buildertrend Takeoff is complete, navigate to the Reports tab and select Estimate.

At the top of your Report screen, select Takeoff to Quote.

From here you have two (2) options:

Send to Supplier/Distributor: This option allows you to choose from an already cultivated list of suppliers and distributors that have partnered with Buildertrend to make it easiest on you.

OR

Send Via Email: This option allows you to email this quote to anyone you would like directly out of Buildertrend Takeoff.

Next, decide which items you would like to include within this quote by checking the box to the left of the item. When finished, decide whether you would like to Share this Project with your supplier or distributor within the program, or just send them a .PDF of the plans for this project, then hit Preview.

From here, you can see exactly how your quote will look to your partner. Double-check your information, add any Estimate Notes if needed, and give them a due date on their bid, if you'd like. When ready, click Send.

 

If your quote was sent via email, your partner will receive the quote within their email inbox. That email will look like this. They can view the quote by clicking the link provided.

The link will take them to an interactive webpage where they can fill out their pricing information and send their bid right back to you. They also have the ability to send you a direct message from here if they have any questions.

Now, to see the bids that have been sent back to you, click on your Notifications Icon, and select Quote Requests. 

This page will show you any quotes that you have sent. Click View Quotes next to the Project you would like to view.

From this page, you can view the entire quote from your partner, message them if needed, and accept or reject the bid using the buttons on the right.

When viewing the returned quote, you can update your pricing with the returned numbers by selecting Update Project Pricing.
