First, we will begin by adding a project in Buildertrend. If you have already integrated your Buildertrend account, you will be able to create a project directly from Buildertrend as part of the integration process.

From a proposal within a lead opportunity, select the Launch Takeoff button in the top right.

From an estimate within a job, select the ruler icon in the bottom right to indicate you'd like to launch a Takeoff.

Once you click Launch Takeoff, you will have the option to upload your plans. If those plans are under 50 megabytes you can upload them here.

If your plans are over 50 megabytes, they can be uploaded once we are in the takeoff. Click Start Takeoff.

Here you can upload your plans if they exceed the 50 megabyte file size, if you have not uploaded them already from Buildertrend.

At this point, you have successfully created a project and are ready to utilize the features of Buildertrend Takeoff.
