How to Get Paid Into the Buildertrend Wallet
‼️Important:
If you are deciding how to get paid, choose ACH direct deposit to your own bank account instead of opening a Wallet. ACH is not affected by this change.
If you already have a Wallet, you can still use the steps on this page to check your balance and withdraw your funds. We will contact you directly before your account is closed so you have time to move your money.
The Buildertrend Wallet is a secure business checking account that allows you to receive Buildertrend payments via ACH transfer.
Once a payment is made through Buildertrend, you'll receive an email notification similar to the one below.
Click Get Paid within the email to begin the process.
Next, select how you would like to recieve payment. To deposit funds into the BT Wallet, select Open Wallet.
If your account is under review and you need access to your funds now, you may choose to withdraw your money in another way.
Select the preferred deposit method from within Application Under Review. You may now choose:

Print and deposit: Check can printed on regular computer paper and deposited at your bank, or via mobile deposit.

Mail check: The check is delivered by USPS in 10-14 days.
Linking an External Bank Account
Connect your preferred bank account to Buildertrend Wallet to withdraw funds. To add a new bank account, select Move Money from the left navigation bar.
Then, select Withdraw money.
Next, select +Link another account from within the Origin account dropdown and enter your preferred banking information.
For your security, a code will be sent to your mobile phone. Enter the code when prompted. You’ll then be guided through the steps to link your bank account using Plaid.

What is Plaid?
Plaid enables you to securely connect your financial accounts to third-party apps. With Plaid, you can link your other business bank accounts to the Buildertrend Wallet, facilitating quick and easy transfers.
Instant Verification (Recommended)
Plaid supports thousands of national and local banks. Search for your bank and log in using your online banking credentials to verify your access. For most banks the Instant option is the quickest and easiest way to link your account.
Do not use instant verification if you bank with Chase or PNC. These two banks must be verified manually with micro-deposits. Linking them through Plaid can cause your payments to bounce.
Manual Verification
Use the Manual option if you bank with Chase or PNC or if your bank does not appear in the search results. Enter your account and routing numbers where prompted. You will receive a deposit of $0.01 into your account within 1-2 business days to verify that your bank details are correct and that you have access to the account.
Once you receive the $0.01 deposit, return to the Wallet and navigate to **Move Money -> Fund Wallet -> Origin Account**. Click the **Verify** button next to the linked bank and follow the instructions to enter the code associated with your bank deposit.
How to Access Your Money in Buildertrend Wallet
To access your funds, first login at https://wallet.buildertrend.com/.
Available balance will be shown on the summary page.
✏️ Note: Funds will not begin processing to your Wallet until your account is approved and activated. After activation, funds are processed and available within 2-3 business days.
If funds are available, navigate to Move Money on the left, then select Withdraw money.
Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and the Destination account dropdown.
Next, select your delivery method:

Regular (3-5 business days)

Fast (1 business day)
Both options are free.
If you want your money in your own bank account, withdraw it using the steps above or ask your builder to pay you by ACH direct deposit going forward.
The Buildertrend Wallet is a free checking account with the option for a virtual and a physical card.
If you already have a Wallet with a card, you can keep using it until your account is closed. We are not issuing new Wallet cards while accounts are winding down.

Virtual Cards: Activated immediately, compatible with Apple/Google pay and online purchases.

Physical Card: Cards will ship within 5-7 business days.
Cards with available funds may be used anywhere that accepts Mastercard Debit and earn your cashback into your Wallet Rewards Balance.
