Node Mode

When using area or linear measurements, you can utilize the Node feature.

For this example, I have measured an exterior section of the wall on the plans below.

Click on the drawn area.

Once the area is highlighted, click a second time to engage the node feature. You will see blue dots populate, that indicates Node Mode.

Once engaged, you will have the option to add a node. Click on one of the nodes, and then press the "A" key. This will add in another node on the measurement.

The benefit of adding in an additional node is that you will have the option to drag and drop if a mistake was made on the original measurement. In this example, the node will be dragged and dropped to be flush with the exterior wall measurement.

You have now successfully utilized Node Mode in Buildertrend Takeoff!
