How to Reset a User’s Buildertrend Password

To reset another User’s Buildertrend password as an Administrator, navigate to the People Icon in the top right of your account and select Internal Users.

Select the User you would like to send the Password Reset notification to.

Within the User’s profile, select the Security & Login tab.

Within this tab, click the Reset Password button.

A pop-up window will appear asking if you would like to send this user an email in order for them to reset their Buildertrend password. To proceed, select Send Email.

The user will receive an email in their associated email account. They can reset their password by clicking Reset Password.

The user can then type in their new password and click Update Password.


Resetting Your Own Password:

To reset your own Buildertrend password, navigate to the User Profile Icon and select your name.

Then, navigate to the Security & Login tab.

Within the Security & Login tab, click the Change Password button.

A pop-up window will appear for you to type in your new password. Click Save when finished.

You have successfully reset your own Buildertrend password. You will use this new password the next time you log in to Buildertrend on any device.

*Note: If you are having trouble logging in to your account and need to reset your user name or password, but do not have access within your account, please contact our support team at 1-888-415-7149.
