Make your job production schedule work for you
Managing multiple large jobs at once can become overwhelming and chaotic.
There are the office jobs, keeping track of the warehouse, managing subs, sending purchase orders, paying invoices, not to mention the other countless day-to-day tasks for each project. Woof. That’s a lot to wrap your head around. We get that.
We don’t have to tell you that the key to success for any job is being able to keep projects on track, avoid delays and make deadlines. As cheerleaders of your success, we work hard to give you all the tools you need to get the job done and on time.
Let’s take a minute to get acquainted with our top-notch Scheduling feature, what we like to call the backbone of our platform, and for good reason. No, really. We’re not just biased. Scheduling is the key to your success.
Check out these pro tips on how to make your schedule work for you.
Sharing is caring
In order to keep projects on track, it’s important to communicate and keep everyone on the same page. Buildertrend makes it easy for you to share your schedule items with your team, subcontractors and clients – whoever needs to be in the loop.
By cutting out the middleman, you’re saving yourself time and increasing your productivity. And that’s what we call a win-win!
Assign those To-Do’s
Are you staying organized by adding To-Do’s to your schedule items? If not, you should be and here’s why. By adding To-Do’s, you can easily track what’s getting done and by who. That’s right – you can assign To-Do items to team members or subs, which makes it easy for you to track the progress of jobs and know who’s responsible for each task.
It may seem like a daunting task. But it’s not. Seriously! Adding To-Do’s can streamline job processes and ensure accountability.
Multiple views to enhance your experience
If you’re like us, it helps to see a project from all angles. Lucky for you, our Schedule feature can be seen through multiple views – nine to be exact. Why so many, you ask? Well, to benefit you, of course! Each view has a purpose depending on the task at hand.
Here’s an example. Say you’re on the month view, but you need to rearrange a couple of schedule items, we would suggest switching over to the Gantt view. The Gantt view allows you to link and rearrange schedule items with ease. This means when you move one item, the others follow suit and adjust accordingly, keeping everything in order. Cool, right? We think so, too.
Create office jobs
Our Scheduling feature can also help you with day-to-day office tasks and makes time management easy. Need to schedule reoccurring events or meetings? Add it to the schedule. Need to stay on top of things at the warehouse? Schedule regular check-ins or To-Do items to ensure you’ve got it all under control.
Sync your personal calendar with your Buildertrend Schedule
Did you know that you can sync your Buildertrend Schedule with your Google, Outlook or iCal calendar? That’s right! And, it’s super easy, too. This seamless one-way integration makes it simple for you to transfer your jobs and project data to your personal calendar without adding any personal information to your Buildertrend Schedule. Syncing your Buildertrend Schedule with your personal calendar ensures that no matter where you are, you’re in the know with all your projects.
