Tips for running successful Facebook ads

When it comes to running advertisements on social media, many people turn to Facebook! Not only are Facebook advertisements cheap, but they are easy to track, optimizable, and you have full control over them. So, in order to stop you from throwing money away to advertise your construction company, we’ve laid out a few tips to remember when setting up your Facebook ads:

Remember that it’s about who you target, not how many.

When it comes to who you’re targeting with your Facebook ad campaigns, remember that it’s about targeting the right people, not just the most people. Sure, bigger numbers are going to look great on your reports when your campaign is over, but you need to be reaching people that are interested in using your company for their next construction project. You know who your customers are, so now you just need to find them on Facebook. Use the targeting tools to your advantage and customize your audience to meet what you’re looking for!

Design to stand out.

As many of us know, a Facebook Newsfeed can get a little overcrowded at times, which means your advertisement needs to be designed to stand out amongst the crowd. Whether it’s a short video or a static image, it needs to deliver your message in the quickest way possible (remember, most people are quickly scrolling through their feed). What image or video will stop their scrolling and pique their interest? Try using imagery of your work: a before and after from a remodeling project, some video footage of a recent project, etc.

Set a clear budget.

It’s easy to spend more on Facebook Ads than you originally intended if you aren’t careful. Make sure you establish if you want to pay daily, or if you want to pay a total sum for the lifetime of the advertisement. The last thing you want is to think you’re spending $50 for the whole advertisement but really you’re spending $50 every day the ad runs, so keep an eye out for what is what!

Monitor your ads, and be ready to adjust.

Facebook makes it easy for you to monitor your ads so there is no excuse to set your ads and forget about them until they are finished. From the reports they provide, you will easily be able to see what is and isn’t working on your various advertisements. You can even make real-time adjustments to anything that isn’t working in hopes to turn it around!
